This summer, the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball club had a stellar season thanks to the efforts of several players. Now with the state tournament in the books, three Northstars have been named All-Conference for their performances this summer.
Conner McKay earned All-Conference honors for his season at infielder. At the plate, McKay led the Northstars with a .382 batting average. He also recorded a .454 batting average, 37 RBIs and 44 runs during the season.
Outfielder Drake Berreth earned both All-Conference and All-State honors for his performance this summer. At the plate, he recorded a .358 batting average, .459 on-base percentage and 41 RBIs.
Brody Nanini earned All-Conference and All-State honors for his season at pitcher. On the mound, Nanini had a 5-3 record, 50 strikeouts and a 4.401 ERA. He also made an impact at the plate with a .317 batting average, five home runs and 52 RBIs.
Thanks to the efforts of these players and others, the Northstars accumulated a record of 43-18-1 and won the Class A North District championship this summer. The Northstars will wrap up the season with the Northwest Regional Tournament at Legion Field starting Friday.
