Hill County Water Districts issues water restrictions

Hill County Water District has limited outdoor water restrictions in member communities while work is done to repair tanks that store water in Hingham and Joplin.

The district said in a notice that no outdoor watering is allowed except using a hose for hand watering Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 7-9 a.m. and 7-9 p.m.

“We would ask that all users refrain from high use as we have less storage capacity than usual due to the Hingham tank and one of the Joplin tanks being drained to complete repairs,” the notice said. “We thank you for your efforts.”

The notice affects the communities of Kremlin, Gildford, Hingham, Rudyard, Inverness and Joplin and the branch lines serving East Kremlin, North Kremlin, South Kremlin, North Hingham, South Hingham, North Rudyard, South Rudyard, North Joplin and North Inverness.
