Obituary - Katherine Richelle 'Kelly' (Richter) Waugh

Katherine Richelle "Kelly" (Richter) Waugh, 51, sadly succumbed to COVID-19 complications November 9, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kelly was born August 11, 1972. She graduated from Havre High School in 1990 and initially worked as a CNA in Havre before transitioning to an insurance career.

In 2006, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, continuing her work in the insurance industry and eventually became the Regional Sales Manager for Nevada, part of Oregon, and half of Utah. She had a very successful career. 

Kelly was known for her love of music (she sang in a casino), she enjoyed dancing, football (Go Broncos), traveling, swimming, and hosting friends at her home. She was a certified scuba diver and loved to share her talents with people. Her vibrant personality attracted a wide circle of friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarke Richter.

Kelly is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kay and John Warner; brothers, Jeffrey Richter, and Jonathon Richter (Suzanne); her son, Ben Amelsberg, and his father, Jeff; grandmother Helen Richter, stepdaughter, Courtney Engelby and grandson, Kingsley Engelby. Additionally, she is remembered by her half-sisters, Keri, Mindy and DaLynn, and stepsiblings, Matt Warner, Marion (Tim) Nielson, and Ann (Bob) Smith, along with many nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles, and her husband, James Waugh.
