Havre Police Department

Officers were asked Friday at 1:01 p.m. to perform a welfare check on 15th Avenue.

A theft was reported at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business Friday at 4:50 p.m.

A fight was reported at First Street West establishment at 10:38 p.m. Friday

A stray dog that was reported on 10th Street West Saturday at 1:10 p.m. was picked up by Havre Animal Control.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller at a First Street West reported three teenagers climbing a wall at the business at 3:01 p.m. Saturday.

A beer theft was reported at a First Street West business Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Reese Morgon Gray Jr. of Billings, 26, was arrested on charges of assault and resisting arrest after a Sunday 12:42 a.m. caller at a First Street West business reported two people engaged in a domestic argument.

Martin Duane Flying Jr. of Havre, 31, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 sobriety program violation reported at the police station Sunday at 8:02 a.m.

A hit and run crash was reported at 11:53 a.m. Sunday at a First Street West business.

--

Priscilla Rae Strike of Havre, 36, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant during a Sunday at 3:28 p.m. vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Eryn Callie Ferguson of Box Elder, 22, was arrested on charges of escape, assault on a peace or judicial officer, vandalism and three counts of violation of conditions of release at Hill County Detention Center Friday at 8:33 a.m. after injuring a deputy while attempting to escape through the ceiling during the booking process.

Ryan Leonard Bahr of Havre, 34, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and vandalism and on two Justice or City court warrants after a Friday 1:58 p.m. caller on 11th Street North reported a domestic disturbance.

Deputies were asked Saturday at 7:57 a.m. to assist with a Child Protective Service call.

A vandalism incident was reported in Rudyard on Road 105 North at 11:44 a.m. Saturday.

--

A caller at a Third Street North establishment reported Sunday at 4:32 p.m. that a woman stole the caller's vehicle.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers responded to a vehicle crash with an injury Saturday at 8:06 p.m. on State Highway 66 near mile marker 10 in Phillips County. No one with Montana Highway Patrol was made available to provide information by print deadline.

A Sunday 9:55 a.m. caller on Beaver Creek Highway near mile marker 11 reported to 911 dispatchers that a black SUV was sitting on its top with two occupants, with one occupant responsive. Havre Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage reported that an ambulance and fire truck responded to the scene and one patient was transported to the hospital. No details on charges were provided. No one with Montana Highway Patrol was made available to provide information by print deadline.

A vehicle crash with the driver sustaining a head injury was reported Sunday at 10:29 p.m. on State Highway 448, aka Box Elder Road, near mile marker 2. Trooper Matt Erickson said that the driver, the only occupant, lost control of his Buick sedan while driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle went into the ditch on the left side of the road, rolled and struck a culvert, coming to rest on its wheels on private property. Speed and alcohol are factors in the crash, Erickson said, and the driver was transported to the hospital.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Friday, one call Saturday, six calls Sunday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a report of a gas smell on the 600 Block of Eighth Avenue Friday at 2:37 p.m. Courtnage said no gas was detected and sewer gas smell is suspected.

Firefighters had to reset a fire alarm on the 800 Block of Fourth Street Saturday at 4:50 p.m. and Sunday at 6:32 p.m.

Firefighters had to reset a fire alarm on the 10 Block of Third Street after burnt food triggered the alarm at 1:53 p.m. Sunday.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, four female cats, six kittens between 15 weeks and 6 months old, and two male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held four puppies between 13 and 21 weeks old, three female mixed-breed dogs, a female and a male Rottweiler, and a female German shepherd. Additionally, two puppies, ages 18-weeks and 23-weeks, were being housed offsite.

Births

A boy was born Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, to Chanina and Ryan Sangrey of Box Elder.
