Cool, sunny days in the forecast

Cooler but still warmer-than-normal temperatures and mostly sunny skies are expected for the next few days in this area, with highs forecast to hit mostly upper 30s and 40s through Friday and possible more than 50 Saturday before dropping back into the mid- to low-40s Sunday and early next week.

But that follows very unseasonable days last week with highs breaking into the 60s Dec. 5-6.

Even the high for Havre predicted at 36 is a bit warmer than normal — Weather Service reports the high normally hits 33 in Havre Dec. 12, with the normal low 12. The low predicted for Havre tonight is 18.

No precipitation is predicted in this region through the beginning of next week.

The Weather Service Climate Prediction Center outlook issued Nov. 30 said the chance of warmer-than-normal temperatures for the next 30 days leans above average, while the chances for more-than-normal or less-than-normal precipitation are about equal.
