A written or verbal warning was issued on 18th Street after a Tuesday 7:45 a.m. vehicle stop for an obstructed license plate.

Officers assisted Havre Fire Department at a medical call on Third Street West at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a 10:34 a.m. Tuesday caller on Second Street Northeast reported a woman who was breaking things.

A written or verbal warning was issued after animal control was called at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday about a dog tied up at a hose along the First Street alley.

--

A skinny dog found on Fourth Avenue at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday was taken to the animal shelter.

--

A 12:20 p.m. Tuesday caller reported a theft had occurred early in the morning at a First Street business.

--

A stray dog reported Tuesday at 1:14 p.m. on 11th Avenue was taken to the animal shelter.

A hit and run vehicle crash was reported on Fifth Street at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday.

A Tuesday 4:40 p.m. caller reported a Weather-tech floor mat had been stolen from the caller's driveway on Wilson Avenue.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a man was reported Tuesday at 5:46 p.m. sleeping under a tree outside a First Street establishment.

A Fourth Street caller reported Tuesday at 10:06 p.m. that an ex broke a bedroom window at the caller's residence.

A Tuesday 10:19 p.m. caller at a First Street West business reported that a check that had been stolen was just cashed.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller at a Box Elder church reported at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday that someone had broken into the church and left a bottle of alcohol.

Myiah Longknife of Harlem, 20, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a disturbance was reported at 8 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 2 East.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to seven calls Tuesday and one call early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held four female cats, eight kittens between 15 weeks and 6 months old, and two male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held four puppies between 14 and 22 weeks old, three female mixed-breed dogs, a female and a male Rottweiler, a female German shepherd and a male pitbull terrier. Additionally, two puppies, ages 18-weeks and 24-weeks, were being housed offsite.

Births

A girl was born Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, to Helen and Ron Waldner of East End Colony.
