Another Class A track meet, another top finish for both the Havre High girls and boys track teams.
On Saturday, the Blue Pony girls won the East Helena Invitational with 120 points, while the HHS boys were second with 117 points.
For the Pony girls, it was their fifth straight win. Havre got a victory from Kaydence Reiter in the 100-meter dash, while Macy Brandon was second, and the duo did the same in the 200, while the Ponies also got a gold medal from Hailey Gingery in the 3,200 meters. Havre was also victorious in the 4x100 relay to round out the races, and the Ponies got another win from Kyanna Jarvis in the 100 hurdles.
In the field, Roma Gum placed in both the discus and javelin for the Ponies, while Jarvis was first and Ari Gary was second in the high jump. Macee May rounded out the scoring for the Ponies with a second in the triple jump and a third in the long jump.
On the boys side, Brayden Kimberling got a second and Brisbin Reiter was fifth for Havre in the 100, while Kimberling captured gold in the 200. Shane Patacsil was fourth for HHS in the 400 meters, while Caleb Tomac won the 800 and Zack May finished fourth. Mason Gregoire also placed second for HHS in the 3,200, while Jacob Herring placed second in the 300 hurdles. Havre also placed first in both relays.
Havre got a fourth place from Tre Gary in the high jump, while Tommy Lewis was second in the shot put. Rounding out the placers for the Ponies was Reed Mantle, who finished third in the pole vault.
The Blue Ponies have another busy week ahead with the Glasgow Top 10 set for Tuesday and the Havre Invite Saturday.
