Northstars open with tough losses to Great Falls AA

The Havre Northstars American Legion baseball team was anxious to get their 2024 season started. But, their home opener was going to be tough as the Northstars hosted the Great Falls AA Chargers last Sunday at Legion Field.

And while it was tough sledding for the young Havre team, head coach Patch Wirtzberger’s squad battled the AA Chargers in each game.

In the opener, Havre dropped a tough 6-0 decision to the Chargers, who showed off some strong pitching as the Northstars were shut out at the plate.
