  • Looking out my Backdoor: Be happy, don't worry, be lazy

    Sondra Ashton|Updated Dec 2, 2021

Easy to say. Difficult to pull off. Oh, oh. I see you are giving me the stink eye over my use of “Be lazy.” My friend and I grew up on neighboring farms. Our fairy godmothers waved magic wands at our births and gifted us with the gift of “Busy.” You know, as in “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop and idle hands his tools.” My grandma used to actually say that to me. Frequently. She raised my dad, of course, so I come by some things served up in a double-dip cone. Let me...

  • George Ferguson: Thanks ESPN ... Friday night in Missoula will be a lot of fun

    George Ferguson|Updated Dec 2, 2021

I'm not sure how long ago it was. But I remember it vividly. Pre-pandemic, I wrote a column about how I wished the Montana Grizzlies and Montana State Bobcats played more night games. I even suggested that, at the very least, the Brawl of the Wild should always be a late afternoon kickoff, if not an actual night game. Of course, one of the excuses not to do it is how cold it gets that time of year. To that I say, come on Montanans, you can't have it both ways. Either we brag...
