IRVIN ANDERSON obituary
HOGELAND - Irvin Eugene "Irvie" Anderson, 66, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in Whitefish with his family at his side after a long battle with cancer.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Saint Thomas Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Harlem
High School gymnasium with burial with military honors in the Harlem Cemetery.
Irvie was born on Feb. 19, 1937, in Havre to Clause and Ann (O'Leary) Anderson. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1956, enrolled at Northern Montana College, and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.
Irvie married Connie McCoy on Nov. 4, 1963, at Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, and graduated from NMC in 1965. He taught school in Rudyard, Chinook, Hogeland and Harlem, before retiring from teaching and focusing on farming and raising hogs full time.
He served as a committeeman on the Blaine County FSA Board for nearly 30 years.
Irvie enjoyed his friends with a round or two of golf in the winter at Lake Havasu, Ariz., and really enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Anderson of Hogeland; sons, Tom (Julie) Anderson of Havre, Jay (Kimberly) Anderson of Whitefish; three granddaughters; sisters, Vonnie (Dale) Klungland of Harlem and Bernice (Murdy) Rismon of Havre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the Gift of Life Housing in Great Falls.
