Betty Jane McMahan, 76, died June 28, 2009, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place, and at her request no services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Betty Jane was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Lincoln, Neb., to Lawrence and Molly (Vettengl) Kierstine. She moved to Oregon with her family when she was a young girl and graduated from Eugene High School.
