Alvin A. Morris, 87, of Valier died Nov. 27, 2009, at the Marias Care Center in Shelby, Mont., of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Highland Cemetery in Havre, Mont. Services are in the care of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home of Havre. Al was born on July 30, 1922, at Leder, Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of Franklin and Lu Ella (Henry) Morris. He moved to Chinook, Mont., at the age of 2, and later to Havre. He began working for the Great Northern Railroad and then enlisted to serve his country with the U.S. Army during World War II....
