Catherine Caroline Pursley Brewer

Catherine Caroline Pursley Brewer, 90, of Big Sandy, died of natural causes on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at the Benefis Hospital in Great Falls.

She was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Lostwood, N.D., to Joseph and Mary (Bliss) Pursley. She grew up in a family of seven before moving to Montana in 1928. She met and married James (Bob) Brewer in September 1937, and to that union four children were born.

She lived and ranched southeast of Big Sandy on Birch Creek for more than 65 years. She enjoyed the ranch wife's way of life with the trials and tribulations of country life....
