Gene L. Rosette, 73, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2010, in Gilbert, Ariz., with family and friends at his side.

He was born in Choteau, Mont., on Oct. 1, 1936, to Frank and Mary Rosette and was an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

Gene served in active duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He earned a Purple Heart as a part of a distinguished 27-year military career.
