Power goes out in Havre

Something caused the power to black out in all of Havre for a short time Tuesday morning, and the power company still is looking for the cause.

Claudia Rapkoch of NorthWestern Energy said something took power to the entire community out. The outage went out about 10:45 a.m.

Power had been restored to most of the community, although a few houses in North Havre still were without, by about 11:10 a.m.

Rapkoch said crews were still patrolling the area early Tuesday afternoon trying to find the cause,

All available NorthWestern employees responded to the outage, and were able to restore power by routing it through another supply line.
