Breaking Sports: Ponies' season ends in Dillon

The Havre High football team ran into the best Class A football team in the state Saturday afternoon. The No.1-ranked Dillon Beavers crushed the Ponies 56-14 in the Class A semifinals. With the win, the Beavers moved to 10-0 on the season and will host the state championship game next Saturday. The Ponies' season ended with a 7-4 record.

Havre got off to a great start as Casey Schaub returned an interception 85 yards for a 7-0 Pony lead. From there, Dillon's offense ripped off 56 unanswered points, including a stretch of five scores on five straight posessions in the firat half, which built an insurmountable 49-7 halftime lead. Ryan Brandt scored the only other HHS TD late in the game.
