9C Boys Update: Knights edge T-Birds

The North Star Knights and Hays-Lodge Pole Thunderbirds opened the District 9C boys basketball tournament with a thriller Wednesday night at the HHS gymnasium. Behind a game-high 26 points from Jordy Donoven, the Knights nipped the T-Birds 61-58. North Star advances to the semifinals where the Knights will face Big Sandy at 2:20 p.m. Thursday. HLP drops into the loser-out bracket Friday at 6 p.m.
