Ice Hawks win gold at Big Sky Games

The Big Sky Winter State Games had a Havre feel to them, especially in the hockey rink.

A Havre Ice Hawks’ high school hockey team traveled to Billings last weekend for the annual State Games, and the squad came home with the gold medal in the 3-on-3 tournament, as well as a chance to move on to a national competition.

The Havre team was composed of Alex Hanson, Justin Miller, Dustin Armstrong, Kyle Konesky, Brandon Huntington, Kelby McLain and goalie Josh Emge. The team only played against one other high school team, winning against Billings High School in last Sunday’s gold medal game, 11-4....
