Community food drive begins this evening

Havre Boy Scout Troops 1438 and 1492 and volunteers will be going door to door around town this evening to collect nonperishable food items for the Havre Community Food Bank in North Havre.

The food will then be brought to the Havre Daily News Office, 119 2nd St., and taken to the Havre Food Bank Tuesday morning.

Adults who own trucks are needed in order to drive and haul the food items.

People who would like to get involved should meet at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 417 20th St. today at 6 p.m.

People who will not be home tonight can drop off their donations of nonperishable food items to the Havre Fire Department, Havre Food Bank, the Havre Daily News office, Triangle Communications' downtown store, Valley Furniture and Gary & Leo’s Fresh Foods.
