Obituary - The Rev. Elizabeth Kathryn "Betty" Mawbey

The Rev. Elizabeth Kathryn “Betty” Mawbey died Monday, Oct. 5, at Prairie Community Hospital in Terry.

She was born Sept. 22, 1943, in Niskayuna, New York.

She graduated with a master’s degree in divinity in 1986 from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago.

Betty served as a Lutheran minister in several locations in Washington, North Dakota and Montana. She served as the chaplain at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in Havre. She retired from the ministry in 2012, when she moved to Glendive. Services were held in Glendive.
