Gerky-Rucinsky grew up in Havre in a farming family. She lives in Havre with her husband and two small children. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Montana State University-Northern and her Master of Science in nursing from Maryville University.

In recognition of her excellence in scholarship, she was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. She has experience in various departments, including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency room, dialysis and home health with Benefis, St. Vincent's, Northern Montana Health Care and A Plus Health Care.

Gerky-Rucinsky said she is passionate about using her skills and education to serve and make a real difference in the area.

"I'm extremely excited to be working at SMC because I get to come back to the group of people I felt were like family when doing my clinical rotation," she said. "I also couldn't be more excited to serve the community as a family nurse practitioner, a community in which I connect with through the times of my family and childhood. I hope to become more than just a provider for everyone in the community and surrounding areas, I hope to 'grow up' with all of you, with the community and with my passion in caring, healing and advocacy."

Chief Executive Officer Dana Pyette said she is thrilled with the medical center's new team member.

"Lindsay is a wonderful addition to the SMC team," Pyette said. "She shares our patient-centered values and we are grateful that she has chosen to grow her career here."

Area residents will have the opportunity to meet or reconnect with all three providers during National Health Center Week, Aug. 13-19.
