Barbara attended St. Jude Thaddeus School through the eighth grade. She went on to Havre public high school and in her senior year she married Charles John Henry. Shortly thereafter, Charles joined the military and was killed before being sent overseas to Vietnam. Barbara got her GED and went on to cosmetology school in California and traveled for several years before returning to Montana and meeting Larry. Together, they lived in Chinook for 20 years while Barbara was working in various bars and restaurants in the area before moving back to Havre in 2000.

She was an accomplished seamstress and baker who also liked doing crafts, particularly beading. She loved cooking and sharing laughter with her friends. Barbara always looked for the good in everything and everyone and was a second mother to everyone. Her other love was her many pets throughout her life, especially her cats.

Barbara had two sons, Charles John Henry Jr. and Mark Golterman, and her two grandsons, Nathan and Andrew Golterman, Foley, MN. She has one older brother, Duane R. Daniel (Kathy), Salt Lake City UT, one older sister, Diane M. Daniel-Davis (deceased) (Mike), Havre, MT; younger brother, Dale A. Daniel (deceased) (Mary), TX; younger sister Judy A. Daniel Sorrles Johnson (deceased) (Ellis), Havre, MT; younger sister Fay N. Daniel Taylor (Tom), Great Falls, MT; and her half-sister, Mary A. Majerus, Dallas, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Barbara fought a long and hard battle to the end, was a life example, matriarch, mother and partner and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Barbara has gone home to be with the Lord.
