So Close: Panthers hold off Blue Ponies

Havre comes up agonizingly short in last-ever meeting with Belgrade

The Havre High football team knew it was going to need a great defensive effort if it was going to upset the fourth-ranked Belgrade Panthers Friday night, and the Blue Ponies got it.

Unfortunately, the Ponies couldn't do enough on offense to take advantage and when it was all said and done, Belgrade survived Blue Pony Stadium with a 10-0 win.

The Panthers are now 4-0 on the season. Havre, on the other hand, is 1-3 after suffering its third-straight loss.
