Eastern Oregon shuts down Northern in night game

The Montana State University-Northern football team couldn't have asked for a better start Saturday night against Eastern Oregon. Unfortunately, the Lights weren't able to finish and were defeated soundly 58-24.

The two Frontier Conference teams, which met Saturday night in Havre at Blue Pony Stadium, combined for nearly 1,000 total yards and 82 points. However, most of them came via Eastern Oregon, which racked up 637 yards in the 34-point win.

Early on though, it looked like the Lights would give the Mountaineers all they could handle. Down 7-0, Northern tied the game on a 15-yard touchdown...
