Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

October 23, 2018

Kadia Miller, Havre High X-Country

Kadia Miller was behind the leaders at the Class A state cross country race last Saturday in Missoula, but with 400 yards left Miller took off and wound up finishing seventh in the girls race. Miller crossed the finish line 19:59 to place seventh and earn Class A All-State honors for the second year in a row. Miller, a varsity runner since she was a freshman, is also a standout basketball player for Havre High, where she earned Central A All-Conference honors for the state champion Blue Ponies last season.

Logan Twombly, Havre High Football

Havre High senior Logan Twombly’s football season didn’t end how he’d hoped, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a success. Twombly was injured in last Friday night’s senior night game against Miles City, but he started on the offensive line for the Blue Ponies in every game this season. Twombly also played defensive tackle for the Ponies this fall and registered a sack against Billings Central earlier this month. Twombly, who played four years of football at HHS, also competes in swimming for the Blue Ponies in the winter.
