Former Havre Blue Pony and MSU-Northern golfer Jeremy Jensen gives instruction during Havre Youth Golf League last Tuesday at Prairie Farms Golf Course. Jensen is the lead instructor for the new youth program, but Tuesday night, he took to the course to fire an incredible 29 in men's league at Prairie Farms.
It's been a fun last couple of weeks for former Havre High and Montana State University-Northern golfer Jeremy Jensen. Of course, as good of a golfer as Jensen is, every summer on the links is a fun one.
However, the last couple of weeks have been especially exciting for Jensen.
First, Jensen was part of the brainchild of the new Youth Golf League in Havre. The league is open to boys and girls entering grades 6-9 and is a spin on the USGA's Operation 36, which is a golf league designed to teach youth golfers to shoot a score of 36 in nine holes from various distances.
