Local Golf Report: Two golf tournaments on the slate

It’s going to be a big weekend on the local golf scene with big tournaments at both Prairie Farms Golf Course and Beaver Creek.

Sunday at Prairie Farms, the annual Rotary Blast will be held. The tournament is a two-person, modified stableford scoring tourney where points are added up instead of strokes. It’s a great tourney with a full 36-team field, and the course always plays especially difficult for the event.

Meanwhile, Saturday and Sunday, BCGC will host the Grip It and Rip It Tournament. The event is also a two-person team tourney with a Best Ball format Saturday and a Scramble Sunday. T...
