Jared Hofeldt

Jared Nicholas "Rufus" Hofeldt died January 15, 2021, at St Peter's Hospital in Helena. He was 37.

Jared was born December 22, 1983, on one of the coldest nights recorded. He grew up and graduated from high school in Havre.

He moved to Helena and worked for the Pepsi Company, he became warehouse foreman.

Jared loved the Colts and the Mavericks. You would find him watching and rooting anytime they played. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing basketball, playing video games and playing guitar and making his friends laugh. He had many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edward Gardipee and his grandmother Alva Hofeldt and an aunt, Linda Bilger.

Jared is survived by his parents, Betty Hofeldt, Havre and Mike Hofeldt, Helena; brothers, Michael, Minnesota, Justin, Kalispell; grandmother Shirley Gardipee, Shelby; niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, which were also family to him.

A celebration of life will be held at Havre Eagles Club Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. with a graveside service at Kuper Memorial Cemetery Friday, Jan. 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Chinook.
