Havre Police Department

Nicholas Moore, 24, listed with a Havre address, was arrested about 8 a.m. Friday on four counts of assault with a weapon, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, disorderly conduct, privacy in communications violation and hate crime after a caller at a First Street establishment reported Thursday at 11:34 p.m. an altercation between patrons. Witnesses said that Moore had been insulting a man and his three friends with racial slurs and during a verbal altercation drew a large knife. The incident was diffused before officers arrived and Moore had left the scene and officers searched for him during the early morning hours but prior to the arrest had called the police station about 30 times and was combative and threatening during the calls.

Friday at 2:50 p.m., a Seventh Avenue caller reported the theft of clothing, cash and checks.

A caller on Third Street reported Saturday at 12:09 a.m. that a juvenile had snuck out of the house.

A window was reported smashed at 2:28 a.m. Saturday on 13th Street West.

Officers were asked Saturday at 2:18 p.m. to assist with a well-being check of someone on on Seventh Street.

Mason Lamebull of Havre, 19, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and minor in possession after a caller on Lincoln Avenue reported that a person was being abused.

Officers investigated suspicious activity reported Sunday at 2:53 a.m. on 14th Street West.

A vehicle crash was reported on Third Avenue Sunday at 2:24 p.m.

Jonathan Warren Rupert of Seattle, 26, was arrested on charges of assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after a caller on Amtrak asked Sunday at 2:53 p.m. for assistance removing a a man from the train.

Someone stopped at the police station Sunday at 3:19 p.m. to report vandalism.

Anthony Dominick Harkins of Havre, 38, was arrested on a partner or family member assault charge after a caller requested at 7:26 p.m. Sunday a well-being check on a child on Boulevard Avenue.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Colen Shane of Box Elder, 23, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Friday at 8:48 a.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

Russell James Weaving of Box Elder, 48, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a shoplifter Friday at 2:08 p.m.

Lance Jay Young of Box Elder, 27, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at the detention center Friday at 4:06 p.m.

Deputies investigated a disturbance reported at a facility on Sixth Street North Saturday at 8:17 a.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Friday, five calls Saturday including two assisting with fire calls, six calls Sunday and four early this morning including one assisting with a fire call.

Firefighters and an ambulance responded to a report of a fire in a gas oven on the 1400 Block of Lincoln Avenue Saturday at 11:21 a.m. Residents had put out the fire with an extinguisher prior to the fire crew's arrival, so fire department personal investigated the scene for further problems before leaving. Fire damage was limited to the stove.

Firefighters and an ambulance assisted Havre Police on the 500 Block of Seventh Street.

Firefighters and and ambulance responded at 4:17 a.m. today to a water break in a multi-family dwelling on the 1000 Block of 12th Avenue. Crew members assisted with shutting off the water to the building.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats, two 2-week-old kittens and one 4-day-old kitten all of unknown gender, two male cats and four female cats.

The shelter also held a male Staffordshire bull terrier dog, two female mixed-breed dogs, a male mixed-breed dog, a female 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 7-month-old shepherd puppy.

Births

A girl was born Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, to Harlee and Austin Moore of Havre.
