Tom Brown kneels down between a mare, which is the product of years of horse breeding by the Brown family to be a hardy ranch horse, and the mare's foal, which is the product of cross breeding with a rare Cleveland Bay stallion. The Brown family and their Cleveland Bay horses will be featured in the May 24 episode of "Backroads of Montana" on the Montana PBS station.
A production crew from the Montana PBS series "Backroads of Montana" will be spending the weekend in the Bear Paw Mountains filming and interviewing a Chouteau County ranching family, who are helping to save an endangered breed of horses.
