Lewis Hopewell

Lewis Renner Hopewell, 64, passed away in the early morning hours of March 21, 2022, of natural causes in Hamilton, MT.

Born to H. Edward Hopewell and Virginia Thornton Hopewell in Havre, Montana, August 13th, 1957, Lew was the youngest of five boys.

When his health allowed, Lew lived a full life. He had a natural gift for anything mechanical and loved working on and riding the several Harley motorcycles he owned over the years. He played drums in various bands, sailed his catamaran sailboat and for years was an avid rock climber.

What Lew will mostly be remembered for is his kindness and generosity - always ready to lend a hand with his mechanical and construction skills. He was a loving dog owner and at least two dogs, Babe and Twig, were lucky to have him as their master.

There will be a Memorial get-together for anyone who would like to remember Lew with others. The  gathering will be held on June 19, 2022, at 1:00, at the Marden Campground Pavilion in Beaver Creek Park.
