Blue Ponies stifled by Lewistown in home opener

Havre's Kale Van Campen scrambles against Lewistown on Friday night at Blue Pony Stadium. In their home opener, the Blue Ponies suffered a 24-7 loss to the Golden Eagles.

Excitement was in the air Friday night as local football fans finally got to watch the Havre High football team play this fall. At Blue Pony Stadium, the Blue Ponies hosted their home opener against their rival Lewistown as both teams looked to move to 2-0 on the young season. Unfortunately for the Ponies, the Golden Eagles took an early lead and never looked back en route to a 24-7 victory over the Ponies.
