Havre Police Department

Matthew Michael Converse of Havre, 45, was arrested on a state District Court warrant after a caller at Third Avenue business reported a man passed out on a bench Friday at 3:17 p.m.

Clay Slone Chandler of Havre, 27, was issued a summons on a charge of partner or family member assault and trespass to property after a caller on First Street Northeast reported Friday at 8:16 p.m. that an ex tried to force entry to the caller's home.

A Saturday at 4:45 a.m. report of a water main break on Boulevard Avenue was referred to Havre Public Works.

--

A hit and run crash was reported at Fourth Street and 10th Avenue Saturday at 10:29 a.m.

Wilson Joel Blackelk III of Havre, 34, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after a caller at a First Street West establishment reported Saturday at 2:09 p.m. that a red Chevrolet Impala had been stolen and a caller on Fourth Street reported at 8:08 p.m. that the person who had stolen the vehicle was en route back to town.

Gene William Liese of Havre, 34, was arrested on charges of probation violation and open container after officers were called Saturday at 3:28 p.m. to Ninth Avenue to assist someone who said they had been kicked out of their house.

A caller reported a deer had been hit by a vehicle and was lying in the middle of 11th Street West Saturday at 5:13 p.m.

A vehicle crash was reported at Fifth Avenue and First Street Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

--

A home break-in was reported at 9:54 p.m. Saturday on Second Street.

Jennifer Jean Longknife of Havre, 31, was arrested on four Justice or City court warrants and charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and shoplifting after a caller at a First Street West business reported a female trespasser Saturday at 10:40 p.m.

Gabriel Matthew Laroque of Havre, 18, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, reckless driving, failing to give notice of accident and minor in possession after a 14th Avenue caller reported that a white car crashed into a trailer Sunday at 5:26 a.m.

An arrest was made after a caller at a First Street business reported a shoplifter Sunday 1:25 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. No details were provided in the dispatch log, but Tiffany Love Croney, who was named as an involved party in both incidents, was listed in this morning's jail roster as being held on two counts of theft.

A two-vehicle non-injury crash was reported on First Street West at 3:36 p.m. Sunday.

--

Officers over the weekend dealt with two calls about dogs and three calls involving cats including a cat found in a box on 11th Street West Sunday at 7:12 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Thursday at 4:54 p.m.

Clay Slone Chandler of Havre, 27, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Friday at 11:58 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

A rifle was reported found at the shooting range Sunday at 12:40 p.m.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers responded to an 11:28 a.m. Friday 911 call about a two-vehicle injury crash involving a Toyota Camry and a truck with a trailer on 1000 Block Sixth Street North. One person reported having a neck injury, and Havre Fire Department said they transported on person to the hospital. No trooper was made available to provide more details on the incident.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Friday, six calls Saturday and two Sunday.

Firefighters responded with an ambulance Friday at 10:24 a.m. to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 200 Block of Fourth Avenue. No gas odor was found by HFD or by NorthWestern Energy.

Firefighters responded with an ambulance Friday at 11:32 a.m. to a vehicle crash on the 1000 Block of Sixth Avenue North to provide assistance and traffic control.

--

Firefighters responded to and reset a fire alarm on the 1300 Block of Jefferson Avenue at 5:24 a.m. Sunday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, two male cats, one female kitten, two female cats and one male kitten, along with two cats in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held seven mixed-breed puppies, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male and a female mixed-breed dogs, a female 6-month-old German shepherd, a male pit bull-Labrador cross and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male dog and a male 9-month-old puppy, both mixed-breed, were being fostered, and eight 13-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.

A girl was born Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, to Amanda and Joseph Reed of Chinook.
