Yelena Miller won't let an injury get in the way of a chance at another state title
Havre's Yelena Miller missed most of her senior season with an injury. But since her return to the court, she has averaged 12.0 points a game to help the Ponies win all of their games to end the regular season. She then scored 11.33 points per game at the Eastern A Divisional as she helped the Ponies win the divisional title for the first time in her career. Miller will now look to win her third straight state title as the Ponies will head to Bozeman next week for the Class A State Tournament.
Over the past three years, Yelena Miller has been one of the best players on the Havre High girls basketball team that has won two straight Class A State Championships. However, Miller has faced her adversity this past season with the Blue Ponies.
Miller missed the early portion of the season as she dealt with an injury. While missing out on the first 13 games of the season was tough on her, Miller was able to get through it thanks to the help of her teammates.
