Work is done on the ski lift at Bear Paw Ski Bowl. More work was scheduled for this weekend, which should keep the lift running safely and efficiently for years to come.

The ski lift at Bear Paw Ski Bowl recently saw major electrical upgrades
With the help of numerous volunteers and several community organizations, the first phase, retiring the old and installing the new control cable was completed. The second phase, installing aerial boots, was to continue this weekend. These updates will allow the hill to operate safely and efficiently for years to come.
Bear Paw Ski Bowl was able to fund nearly this entire project from a recent grant it received from the Whitefish Community Foundation, as well as with donated labor, equipment and tools.
Bear Paw Ski Bowl aims to open in the winter of 2024, snow conditions dependent, with operating hours from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Bear Paw Ski Bowl merchandise and rental gear including skis, snowboards and boots are available for a small fee at the Bear Paw Winter Sports shop located at 417 First St. in Havre.
