Obituary - Lois Jean Normandy

Lois Jean Normandy, 78, passed away due to natural causes Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Lois was born November 1, 1944, in Havre, Montana, to Melvin and Margaret (Hanning) Stengem. She attended school in Havre elementary and high school.

October 25, 1963, Lois married Donald Normandy Jr., and this marriage was blessed with two sons and one daughter, Bruce, David and Melissa. She worked as a meat wrapper and at Northern Montana Hospital for years, retiring as a meat wrapper from Albertsons.

Lois was a little lady with a big, sassy attitude, which made her fun to be around. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Margaret Stengem; brothers, Peter Michael Stengem and James Melvin Stengem; parents-in-law, Donald and Alice Normandy; and siblings-in-law Larry Normandy, Debbie St. Pierre, Chet Evenoff and Delbert Kegley.

Lois is survived by her husband, 11 days short of 60 years, Donald Normandy Jr .; children, Bruce (JoAnn) Normandy, David (Krissy) Normandy, and Melissa Dunn; grandchildren, Trent (Kaydee) Normandy, Brett (Shelby) Normandy, Jace (Lauren) Erhard, Bailey Erhard, and Keaton Normandy; four great-grandchildren; siblings Judy Hendrickson, Loy (Mark) Flatt, JoAnne Evenoff, Kay (Don) Murphy, Mardi (Randy) Haas, and Carol Stengem, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023, in Highland Cemetery.

Lois' family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
