First baby of 2024 born at Northern Montana Hospital

Northern Montana Hospital reports that the first baby of 2024 was born at 2:43 p.m. New Year’s Day.

The hospital reports that the family has respectfully declined to have a photo posted, but the baby’s name is Hailey Waldner and she weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz. at birth and is 19 inches long.

Her parents are David and Bernice Waldner.

“They thoroughly enjoyed the gift that we presented them from NMH,” a release from the hospital said. “Happy New Year!”
