Our View: Darts & Laurels

Laurel — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has come up with a plan that will relocate bison to Fort Belknap and Fort Peck Indian reservations. This will please farmers and ranchers in other parts of the state who were fearful of what might be done with the bison which might carry brucellosis, a disease that causes miscarriage in other animals. The FWP move will please Native Americans who have long felt that buffalo were part of their rich heritage and the traditional western heritage.
