Proposed cuts hurt the less fortunate

Proposed cuts hurt the less fortunate

Editor:

There are times when I wonder if those people we sent to Helena know that they are there to do good for the state. I get really frustrated about both parties saying I am right and you are wrong and doing a lot of ridiculous things in their parties' names.

I agree with Mr. McNutt (Republican, House District 37) that this session is making them and us look like buffoons. This should not be a power struggle when our legislators are in Helena, but bipartisan to get the job done. As has been pointed out, there has been a lot of wasted time and some REALLY dumb bills. Their purpose should not be to introduce as many bills as they can to impress the folks back home.

The cuts they are proposing seem to all be hurting the less fortunate. The cutting of Big Sky RX will hurt 11,000 people and cuts to the Agency on Aging will also hurt numerous people. I would hope that the governor will VETO all of the dumb bills that come to his desk.
