State Sen. Jonathan Windy Boy, D-Box Elder, has taken issue with a bill sponsored by a Billings Republican that he fears might lead to denial of Montana citizenship to Native Americans.

The bill drafted by Rep. James Knox would require "that the person is a child of at least one parent who owes no allegiance to any foreign sovereignty or a child without citizenship or nationality in any foreign country."
