Breaking Sports: Saints sweep Northern spikers

Just over a week ago, the MSU-Northern volleyball team was in first place in the Frontier Conference. Now the Skylights have lost three matches in a row. The No. 23 Carroll College Fighting Saints swept the Skylights by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-20 Friday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse in Havre. The loss dropped MSU-N to 3-3 in conference play and 11-8 overall.

Hillary Isleifson led the Skylights with 10 kills and 10 digs. Senior Ashley Lawson also had a good match, recording six kills, while Holly Cartwright had 16 digs. Northern returns to the floor on saturday as the Skylights host Rocky Mountain College at 2 p.m.
