Indie duo slated for Triple Dog performance

Press release

A duo touring the nation is set to make a stop in Havre May 6.

After uprooting from their Nashville home and full-time jobs in June of 2012, the husband and wife indie folk-rock duo Karisa and Cie Hoover of You Knew Me When set plans to tour the nation for a full year ...then they never stopped.

Since that time they have been serving up their craft brewed compositions coast to coast throughout the USA and into Canada and released their first studio album "You, Me, and the Rest of the World," and have done so as a fully independent entity.

Many miles and memories later, the duo have released their sophomore album "We Found Roads."

Touring in support of their new release, You Knew Me When will perform at Triple Dog Brewing Co. on 1st Street West in Havre Wednesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. No cover charge will be required to see the duo.

Outfitted with an array of instruments, You Knew Me When is a duo that presents a full band sound. While blending their vocals, Karisa Hoover, who previously served as a tenured Nashville public school music teacher, provides the piano, ukulele, glockenspiel and percussive elements, as Cie Hoover, who spent several years as the global events manager for Gibson Guitar, supplies the guitar and other rhythmic nuances. The cumulative result is a musical style that blends a singer-songwriter soul with a pop/rock mentality.

"We Found Roads" showcases the musical progression of You Knew Me When and the melding of both Karisa and Cie Hoover's musical styles. At times upbeat and folksy, at times melancholy and introspective, the album is a reflection of mile-markers and moments derived from giving up everything and finding new paths together.

Physical and digital copies of "We Found Roads" are available at http://www.youknewmewhen.com. The album is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and other online retailers. Listen to You Knew Me When online via Pandora, Spotify, iTunes Radio, and other online radio sources.
