The Light

You know, Lord, many years ago, when we were just little kids, only folks in towns had electricity. Since we were country kids, we didn’t know any folks in the country who even had electricity. We didn’t have that power source at our home, just gasoline lanterns to show us the way in the barnyard, so when we were in town for an evening visiting our relatives, which did not happen very often, all of a sudden, we noticed that the lights were beginning to start to shine along the streets.
