At the tournament, Massar, a sophomore, took third in humorous oral interpretation of literature, senior Wicks took fifth in spontaneous oral interpretation of literature, sophomore Welch took eighth in spontaneous oral interpretation of literature, and Otto, a freshman, made semifinals in informative speaking. North Star took fifth in the Class C team sweepstakes.
