We think of you in silence, dear, we often speak your name.

But all we have are memories now, your picture in a frame.


Your resting place is up the hill, flowers put there with care,

But no one knows how our hearts ache; we turn and leave you there.


It’s lonely here without you, dear; we miss you more each day.

Our life is simply not the same since you’ve been called away.


Death took away our dearest one, a life linked with our own …

No one can know how we miss you, as we move on alone.


Sometimes at home when it’s quiet, we face an empty chair.
