Fish and Wildlife Commission meets Thursday

The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet Thursday at Fish, Wildlife and Parks Headquarters in Helena.

The agenda includes final decisions on the Moose, Sheep and Goat Quotas Outside Biennial Quota Ranges; Fall Upland Game Bird Quotas and Limits; and Mountain Lion Quotas.

The commission meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. and will be streamed live via video to all FWP regional offices. The meeting will also be audio streamed online at http://www.fwp.mt.gov/.

The commission will make final decisions on the following topics:

• Moose, Sheep and Goat Quotas Outside Biennial Quota Ranges

• 2018 HB 454 Hunting Access Agreements

• 2018 Fall Upland Game Bird Quotas and Limits

• 2018 Mountain Lion Quotas

• Fish Creek WMA Addition

• Fishing Regulation Change for Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge

• Blacktail Meadows Fishing Access Site Proposed Easement

• Bear Creek/Pine Creek Water Rights Acquisition

• Big Creek Instream Flow Water Right Lease Renewal

• Mulherin Creek Instream Flow Water Right Lease Renewal

The commission will hear the following proposals:

• 2018/2019 Furbearer & Trapping Seasons and 2018 Quotas

• Swift Fox Conservation Strategy

• Nongame Check-Off Workplan

• Madison River Recreation Plan Process

The commission will also look at endorsing the following:

• Kootenai Forestlands Conservation Project

• Calf Creek WMA Addition

• Canyon Creek WMA Additions

• Ash Coulee Conservation Easement

• Lisk Creek Headwaters Conservation Easement

• Dome Mountain WMA Inholding Conservation Easement Assignment

• Threemile WMA Forest Habitat Restoration — Phase 2

• Boehm Property FAS.
