International Association of Firefighters Local 601 firefighters collect donations on the corner of First Street and Fifth Avenue for the annual Fill the Boot campaign for Muscular Dystrophy Association. Drivers and pedestrians made donations of varying amounts into the old firefighter boots during the drive, held this year during Havre Festival Days.
The Local 601 of the International Association of Fire Fighters hit the streets Friday during Festival Days, raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, holding their boots out and asking for people to help.
Local 601 Vice President Cody McLain said they did very well this year, and there are still opportunities for the community to donate in the following weeks.
Some businesses are partnering with the firefighters for the Fill the Boot fundraiser, such as Pizza Hut Thursday, Oct. 11.
