Ben Woodwick hopes to make grandmother proud

Ben Woodwick poses for a photo at the Rotary Youth Golf Camp at Prairie Farms Golf Course Tuesday. Woodwick got into golf because of his grandmother and he hopes to use his time at the golf camp to improve his swing.

At the Rotary Youth Golf Camp at Prairie Farms Golf Course this week, local youths gathered to hone in and improve their golfing skills. One such youth was Ben Woodwick, who attended the camp Tuesday hoping to get better.

Woodwick has only recently gotten into golf because of his grandmother who took him to the Prairie Farms Golf Course. After a few months, he got the hang of it and the sport began to grow on him.

"Three years ago, she brought me out here and practiced a little bit. A couple months after that, I just started to golf," Woodwick said.
