Havre Public Works dealing with water main breaks

Havre’s Public Works Director Dave Peterson said this morning that multiple water main breaks in the city overnight resulted in flooding and some road damage.

Peterson said the breaks occurred on Fourth Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets, another occurred on Fourth Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues, and a main transmission line broke on Third Street between Montana Avenue and First Avenue.

Peterson said he was unsure of the exact cause of the breaks and Public Works was still looking into the situation. He said there has been a lot of water usage all around.
