State and Local COVID-19 update, Aug. 9, 2021

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Montana on the state map after today’s update was 118,270 with 395 new cases, 2,166 active. The number of active hospitalizations was 154. The number of deaths was 1,723.

Blaine County Health Department reported inits last update Friday evening being notified of 1 new case, 880 total, 4 active, no active hospitalizations listed, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported in its last update Friday evening that 1 new case was reported with 2,089 total, 22 active, no active hospitalizations, 46 deaths.

Rocky Boy — reported in its last update Friday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 800 total, 3 active, 2 active on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, no active hospitalizations listed. It has had 7 deaths.

Fort Belknap — reported in its last update Friday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, no new cases, 511 total, none active, no active hospitalizations, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 125 total, 4 active, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 210 total, 1 active, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .
